Kevin Bench, yodan (fourth degree black belt) has been training in Shotokan Karate for over 40 years and has been teaching for over 30 years. Mr. Bench moved from California to Phoenix, AZ in the year 2000 to start the Phoenix Dojo. He quickly expanded and began teaching classes in Goodyear and Buckeye at the Odyssey Academies. He is a direct student of Tsutomu Ohshima, founder and chief instructor of SKA. Mr. Bench teaches all of our classes unless he is unavailable (a rare occurrence), in which case one of his black belt assistants will lead the class.
